On Saturday, November 19th Dear friend and jack of all trades, Bobby Ray exhibited his first collection for his line Khasa Marina. With futuristic designs and timeless pieces, he shines with illuminating brilliance. Humble as a saint, Bobby Ray spends sleepless nights and never ending days with his head in the sewing machine. With constant design ideas running through his mind and focused, thoughtful, seamed memories, he keeps his hands busy with stellar fabrics and innovative ideas.
Having the honor to work with Bobby Ray one on one I had the opportunity to test try all of his pieces. Playing dress up was like entering a bat cave with countless fabrics and inspiring ideas fluttering around. It was exhilarating and breath taking to witness the amount of potential and passion this creature has in store. I myself am a fashion designer and constantly frown at the pieces that are displayed at the local stores and online networks. Fashion is a statement, and what better time to release your true inner rebel than now.
The truth is out and its dirty. Fashion has the chance to make a complete 360 turn and has the chance to rise to the Gods. Its a challenge the mind questions. Bobby Rays perception and visions propose never ending questions to these corky and ministering pieces. With pieces like the Body Bag and the Devil Dress, his heart sings of the Crusades and dark times which brought enlightenment to our ancestors.
Being Bobby's right hand during his first fashion show was a whirlwind of emotions. From delirium, to chaos, from sexual desires to fulfillment, Bobby Ray exhibited a successful design in the enchanted evening for Khasa Marina!
